Shortwave ultraviolet radiation (KUF) is a method of safe use of ultraviolet radiation short-wave range with therapeutic and preventive purposes. The procedure is performed with the patient sitting. The treatment lasts for 1-4min. Therapy promotes the destruction of the structure of harmful microorganisms within the body of the patient, stabilizes the nucleic acids and proteins.
The procedure is effective in the treatment of acute and subacute inflammatory diseases of the skin, nose, throat (mucous membranes of the nose, tonsils), the inner ear, wounds with a risk of anaerobic infection.
Therapy is contraindicated in case of hypersensitivity of skin and mucous membranes to ultraviolet radiation.
