Colposcopy is a method of examination of patients with pathology of the cervix. The essence of the method consists in the examination and audit of the status of the cervix and vagina when you zoom the microscope in 7-28 or more times. This method allows to identify the lesion, to differentiate benign and malignant changes, to identify tumors of the cervix and the current latent inflammation.
The procedure is effective in cases of suspected malignant, benign and inflammatory changes of the cervix.
The procedure is contraindicated in individual intolerance of iodine.
